The year is 2032. The AI takeover continues to accelerate, and humans are left trying to prove their humanity to each other.

You wake up early and prepare your favorite morning drink – coffee, tea, soda, lemon water, tap water – whatever your taste buds prefer. It’s a ritual you enjoy before the day begins. A way to shake off sleep and engage the senses. Something that keeps you human.

You open your device and log into the network. Unlike your more hands-on friends working in trades, you have a job that requires interacting with AI.

But you try not to complain.

After all, AI developed powerful treatments that cured your aunt’s stage four cancer. She’s been in remission for a year. Algorithm-based research also developed immunizations against Alzheimer’s disease in time for you to get the vaccine before onset. And AI-powered humanoid robots deliver all your groceries to your doorstep.

Taking a sip of your drink and wondering if AI will ever acquire the ability to taste things, you get to work.

In a few hours, you’ll go offline and meet up with some of the other Analogs to compare notes. A quiet rebellion forged with pen and paper.

Good things are ahead. You can feel it.
